The Tragic life of A Law Student, Christmas and Reign!!!

Christmas has officially ended with a BANG for me and phew...it was exhausting as I had to visit many relatives as well as balance my classes!!! The perks of being Asian, having many many many relatives which means more presents for me!!!

Anyways, MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!! I do hope everyone is having a loooooooooong break because I will be using my holiday period to study and try to catch up...The unfortunate life of a law student!!!

Basically, never have any year been more important than my final year as I need to obtain at least a second class lower in order to do CLP (Certificate of Legal Practice) and right now, I am not even 2% ready for any subject so yeah, this year is going to be a killer unless I can catch up in 9 days!!!!

So true right now because there is too much to be done!!!

Enough about my sad and tragic life, I wanted to ramble about the latest season of Reign because I am still hooked on it (the only joy in my life right now)

French Court has never been sexier until now!!

Finally!!!
Mary and Francis are finally crowned King and Queen of France, Lola is back at French Court with her new son who is claimed by Francis because he can't part with his son and totally disregards Mary's advise until she had to give in to his demands since he's King (I really hate this sex discrimination thing!!!!) Catherine is still Catherine only now she is seeing ghost of her dead husband and children (Totally normal right???) Mary has a new suitor who can't seem to resist her because he loves going after married women. Oh, and there's a new villian in Season 2 who is charmed by Lola.
French Court has never been more deadly!!!
Just another normal day in French Court...

Phew...that was a mouthful!!! And this Season just keeps making me annoyed at Francis' stupidity that I just want him to die and replace him with a stronger King because honestly, how can the writer make Francis so feeble minded this Season??? I get that he looooooves Mary and wants to protect her but Mary is tougher than she looks!!!! She survived much more than Francis ever did and he's just ruining everything they have!!!!

Mary faces two major events this Season and I really think the writer wants to weaken Mary a little since she has been growing stronger every episode thanks to the craziness in French Court...

SPOILER ALERT!!!!
The calm before the storm!!!
First, she loses the baby that she's carrying and my heart was bleeding at that sad moment!!! I mean I would have loved to see Mary pregnant for a few more episodes since that is what Mary and Francis have been longing for but alas it only lasted for a few minutes in the duration of one episode. And the worse part is it happens during the christening of Lola and Francis' baby so it was like rubbing salt in the wound!!!

Next, Mary gets raped and the scene was quite graphical that I found myself feeling horrified for Mary since she is a Queen and a woman which is the worst thing that could happen even today...I was screaming inside as to why Mary had to be the one to suffer such a horrible fate when all along she has been good and loyal to Francis!!!
This isn't going to end well!!
Lola is basically annoying as per usual because she keeps thinking she's being punished for one mistake that is sleeping with Francis which resulted in her baby that she keeps trying to run away from everyone who cares about her!!!!She makes herself seem so pitiful when technically she did it to herself and she has a new love interest who also happens to be Francis' nemesis...Can Lola just replace Aylee who died in Season 1??? At least Aylee was a loyal friend who doesn't backstab Mary then blames it on everyone else!!!!

This season makes me miss the good old season one where it wasn't so crazy but I guess the writers decided to go a little wild to draw more audiences but I do wish that they wouldn't deviate soooo much from history because this is just factually inaccurate!!!!

THE END!!!

If Mary dies, you may be Queen!!!

Last Day of Work and other random stuff!!!

Sunset at Broga Hill which meant starting my hike at 4 a.m.
So, I started my attachment at a law firm right after my last paper ( Like 3 days after the last paper to be exact but honestly who is counting???) and everyone thought I was nuts to start working so soon but I was determined and therefore I started working on the second week of June up until the end of this month which is today!!! I had learnt the hard way to appreciate my holidays as halfway through my attachment, I was already exhausted since I have not had a proper break for 2 years now...So, to those of you insane enough to try crazy things like this, it might be a good idea to take a break for approximately a week or two before working, take it from another insane being who just loves to learn things the hard way...
Broga Hill (the not so tough hill after all!!!)
I'm not saying that working is so difficult because honestly it sometimes is a little tough to learn new skills but that is what makes my attachment exciting. I'm the kind of girl who loves doing new things even if it's a little crazy at times like the time I climbed up Broga Hill or did abseiling down a wall being the youngest in the group to do so and etc...I've learnt a lot during my attachment at the firm and I've even made a new friend who is a Year 2 UK Transfer Degree  Programme from another university so I can't say that I regret working. The office has been my second home for 2 months now but now it's time for some R & R before my results come out and I am freaking out since I procrastinated again so chances are, I need a real miracle to get through my tough year...Let's recap my insane 4 subjects...

Law of Tort- The examiner must think I have a death wish for setting the paper so different from expected (Thank you UOL for always making my life interesting!!!) And I may have underestimate the subject thinking it was possible to finish quickly when my study manual itself is 600+++ pages excluding my textbooks, subject guide and own notes.

The verdict: I can say bye bye to the only subject I expected to get through easily.

Land Law- I spent 3/4 of the year trying to understand the whole syllabus not even knowing what I don't know so this is one paper I know for sure that I messed up unless somehow by a miracle, whatever rubbish that I wrote in my answer script makes sense...

The verdict: Land Law, please have mercy on me. I hope whatever in my answer script is sufficient to get through this tough year.

Law of Trust- The subject that seems to hate me no matter how much I try to make myself understand the syllabus. Just when I think I understand the topic, the answer may divert into another direction plus the exam paper was simply foreign to me so I did what I always do... Making things up as I go along...That seems to be what I am good at.

The Verdict: Do I even need to spell it out???I need a miracle to get through this complicated paper.

Family Law- Never try to study this subject last minute unless you're trying to kill yourself with an overload of cases and statutes. There was just too many cases and I found myself drowning in a pool of cases with similar names (Why can't it just be like simple names instead of alphabets???) I feel like I am learning my ABC again like in kindergarten...

The Verdict: I really have no idea how I did but I don't feel good...

Chances are I pretty much screwed up my exam papers but hopefully...I get through...

Anyways, on to a more brighter tone, I managed to challenge myself to go for rock climbing at Camp 5 this week and it was a thrilling experience...Firstly, I have never done it before plus the first time I caught a glimpse of the highest wall they have, I almost fainted at the thought of attempting it when I have no idea what I am suppose to do on the wall...I mean I know that I am suppose to climb it (obviously!!!) but how to climb the proper way???

Thankfully they had guides to teach first timers such as myself and my sister and the guide who assisted me in my climb was Mr. Gregory who was kind enough to bring me down several times after I reached the top without complaining of my weight...I have to say that the climb was exciting but warning to those who are afraid of heights, don't attempt to look down while climbing, just keep climbing and reach the top. Mr. Gregory was pretty encouraging with those who wanted to give up climbing all the way up to the top like a lady in my group who only wanted to climb midway to take a picture and she was afraid of heights but thanks to Gregory and the encouragement by my fellow teammates and I, she managed to reach the top.
Not for the weak hearted

One of the walls to climb

The experience itself was amazing as I had to rely solely on myself to climb to the top without anyone actually assisting me with the climb and I have to say it made me feel more confident as I finished my climb for the day. I was provided with the proper equipment and given proper instructions which was exactly what I'd hoped to get however the only small problem was that the small children in another group was left unsupervised at times when the guide was busy with other customers that I watched in horror as a little girl of about 8 years old jumped down from the wall after her climb without following the proper method of descent and ended up on an older girl's shoulders but thankfully no one was injured. Besides that, the place was well maintained and it's perfect for those who want a taste of adventure indoors...

Lessons In Life!!!

I'm back and it's actually been a really tiring week because here are a few things that I've learnt

1. Never EVER wear heels to run around the whole day because you're asking for extreme torture even if you do look good in it...Trust me, I won't be doing that anytime soon!!!
2. Never change your style of dressing in one year unless you want your parents to start questioning you of a 'boyfriend'...Yeah, it's a really awkward topic to bring up when I have a whole piece of cake in my mouth!!!
3. You can never go wrong with listening to those old songs you used to blast on your stereo because it's WAY better than most songs that are blasting on the radio these days...I'm actually downloading all my old favourite songs as I'm writing so yeah, I'm actually not paying attention to what I'm writing....
4. Never say you love a celebrity out loud in front of your parents especially if it's a guy celebrity because the moment after that will be really awkward...Trust me, I did it as I was watching American Idol when Colton was performing and my parents gave me that "What's wrong with her?" look...Plus you'll find your face changing to those many shades of red you never knew existed...

5. Never ever run around a shopping mall and start going "Whoa, look at that" or "Wow!" or "What the heck is that?" unless you want people giving you weird glances...When you feel those words starting to form on your tongue, bite it down and act all matured and cool about everything...

So, what was I up to this week???

Here's a little fast recap...

After Tuesday, I was pretty much dying for the week to be over and Monday was a freaking holiday thanks to some law expo my college was holding...This coming from a law student who actually falls asleep in more than half of her classes and my real classes haven't even started!!! Someone, save me!!!

Wednesday was a really long day but after class, my sister and I just watched a movie and I became a zombie that night due to my lack of sleep... ZZZZZzzz...

Thursday was a really weird day like I mean, some weird person approached me and asked me to tear open a scratch card and guess what??? I WON!!! Yeah, he told me no one EVER gets it and I ended up giving back to him because who is he to tell me to take a cab to somewhere I never heard of???? And how do I know if all the cards are exactly like mine and he tells everyone the same thing??? NO. THANK. YOU. MISTER. Hung out at KLCC with my sister and ate my hearts out at Chilis!!! I finally found my fish and chips and gosh, if only I could have the chips and no fish because I was dying for fries!!!

Friday...Thank god I made it through the whole week alive!!! And I took several pictures of my library books that (thank god I don't have to look through just yet!) I LOVE to look at but boy, will I dread the day I have to find the relevant cases because the judges are...let's just say they have a lot to say... I know I'm not supposed to be revealing about my life to everyone as my lecture tells us dozens of times but I can't help it!!! I'm just so addicted to blog and I have a lot to blab about so yeah, Imma say what's on my mind!!!

Check out these cool sayings that Miss Kelly showed me and it's kinda funny!!!

Imma share more of this sayings with you in my next post because now, I'm going to try telling myself and drill it into my head to study...

I have to study...
I have to study...
I have to study...
Oh, American Idol in on!!!

Yeah, I probably need more practice with my concentration...

And...I still haven't watched this show!!!

Signing off for now!!!

Things To Do!!!

Finally, my lessons are starting tomorrow so yeah, time to get my brain juice pumping!!! Technically I'm crashing my former classmates' lectures but I'm allowed to so yeah, why not instead of rotting at home with simply nothing to do!!!

See how many books I have to study!!! Yeah, these are all my law books and Imma pass out just looking at this picture!!! Are they trying to drive me nuts so I'll drop dead before I graduate???

I 'love' my life right now...Better get comfy and open some books to study...Hmm...maybe after I finish blogging...Hehe!!!

The only time I wake up early these days is either to use the bathroom or to head to my mum's office like I am doing today and boy, am I lazy like crazy!!!

So anyway, time passes so fast these days~ Imma miss my crazy high school friends when they do leave to study overseas because they were willing to be crazy with me!!! Sigh, I'm so bored that I'm rambling nonsense now so don't mind me!!!

And what's the current song that most people are making covers of these days??? Well, the three youtube sensations I enjoy listening to sang three different versions of Taylor Swift's Safe & Sound and gosh, is it so different to listen to every one of it...I'll post a link here later once the internet connection doesn't block youtube...Seriously, who blocks youtube??? Imma die here without it these days!!!

And call me a hypocrite if you want to but I'm in love with dresses!!! Okay, I like to see the dress on someone else because they look so pretty and good in it!!! when I put on a dress, all that runs in my head is

"FAT, SHORT, NOT SEXY"

I'm not exactly on the chubby side but I'm not stick thin too so yeah, there goes my self-confidence...Plus it isn't like my sister helps to boost my confidence at times, she LOVES to tell me what to wear and when I question her about her clothes choice, she WALKS AWAY!!! What's that supposed to mean???

I wanna get a converse someday because it looks AWESOME!!! Plus everyone's wearing it so why not???

Not a pink one, of course because it's just too...PINK!!! Maybe a blue or black one so I can just throw on a jeans and the converse and STILL be fashionable...

So, it's time for me to keep my part of my bargain which is to study for a while...Time for a break from my long break...Maybe I'll take a nap first before I start!!!

THE END!!!
