The Tragic life of A Law Student, Christmas and Reign!!!

Christmas has officially ended with a BANG for me and phew...it was exhausting as I had to visit many relatives as well as balance my classes!!! The perks of being Asian, having many many many relatives which means more presents for me!!!

Anyways, MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!! I do hope everyone is having a loooooooooong break because I will be using my holiday period to study and try to catch up...The unfortunate life of a law student!!!

Basically, never have any year been more important than my final year as I need to obtain at least a second class lower in order to do CLP (Certificate of Legal Practice) and right now, I am not even 2% ready for any subject so yeah, this year is going to be a killer unless I can catch up in 9 days!!!!

So true right now because there is too much to be done!!!

Enough about my sad and tragic life, I wanted to ramble about the latest season of Reign because I am still hooked on it (the only joy in my life right now)

French Court has never been sexier until now!!

Finally!!!
Mary and Francis are finally crowned King and Queen of France, Lola is back at French Court with her new son who is claimed by Francis because he can't part with his son and totally disregards Mary's advise until she had to give in to his demands since he's King (I really hate this sex discrimination thing!!!!) Catherine is still Catherine only now she is seeing ghost of her dead husband and children (Totally normal right???) Mary has a new suitor who can't seem to resist her because he loves going after married women. Oh, and there's a new villian in Season 2 who is charmed by Lola.
French Court has never been more deadly!!!
Just another normal day in French Court...

Phew...that was a mouthful!!! And this Season just keeps making me annoyed at Francis' stupidity that I just want him to die and replace him with a stronger King because honestly, how can the writer make Francis so feeble minded this Season??? I get that he looooooves Mary and wants to protect her but Mary is tougher than she looks!!!! She survived much more than Francis ever did and he's just ruining everything they have!!!!

Mary faces two major events this Season and I really think the writer wants to weaken Mary a little since she has been growing stronger every episode thanks to the craziness in French Court...

SPOILER ALERT!!!!
The calm before the storm!!!
First, she loses the baby that she's carrying and my heart was bleeding at that sad moment!!! I mean I would have loved to see Mary pregnant for a few more episodes since that is what Mary and Francis have been longing for but alas it only lasted for a few minutes in the duration of one episode. And the worse part is it happens during the christening of Lola and Francis' baby so it was like rubbing salt in the wound!!!

Next, Mary gets raped and the scene was quite graphical that I found myself feeling horrified for Mary since she is a Queen and a woman which is the worst thing that could happen even today...I was screaming inside as to why Mary had to be the one to suffer such a horrible fate when all along she has been good and loyal to Francis!!!
This isn't going to end well!!
Lola is basically annoying as per usual because she keeps thinking she's being punished for one mistake that is sleeping with Francis which resulted in her baby that she keeps trying to run away from everyone who cares about her!!!!She makes herself seem so pitiful when technically she did it to herself and she has a new love interest who also happens to be Francis' nemesis...Can Lola just replace Aylee who died in Season 1??? At least Aylee was a loyal friend who doesn't backstab Mary then blames it on everyone else!!!!

This season makes me miss the good old season one where it wasn't so crazy but I guess the writers decided to go a little wild to draw more audiences but I do wish that they wouldn't deviate soooo much from history because this is just factually inaccurate!!!!

THE END!!!

If Mary dies, you may be Queen!!!

REIGN ADDICT STRIKES AGAIN!!!

Okay,so I decided to post about my latest favorite series, Reign and my favorite couples in the show since that's mainly what the show seems to focus on in the beginning of the show until the end of season 1 (Yes, the show ended it's first season already and the second season starts in October so I'm trying my best to catch up with Season 1 so I'm not left behind so basically I have about 5 more episodes till the end.) There's a little bit of love along with some killing, supernatural belief and an amazingly evil queen of France not to mention an insane King of France (Really, can French court be anymore exciting?)

1. Mary and Francis (Team Frary)

Mary: Why can't we just get along???
Okay, honestly speaking I was annoyed with Francis in the beginning that I wanted to go over there to hit him on the head for being such a jerk to Mary who was only trying to be friends again with him since they are engaged to be married. It took Francis about 7 episodes before he's finally realized how important Mary is to him but thankfully now (SPOILER ALERT for those who have not watched beyond Episode 12!!!) they are married for about 2 months or more. Mary wasn't my favorite character too when she went a bit over the top with thinking she has to protect Francis (as if he's incapable of taking care of himself!!!) due to some ridiculous prophecy that he will die if he marries Mary (Talk about taking the idea that marriage is the ultimate torture for a man to be bound to one woman for the rest of his life to the next level!!!) She then tries to do something impossible that has never been done which is to declare King Henry and Queen Katherine's marriage void in the first place which meant that instead on Francis becoming King, he would lose his throne and be exiled (How is that love again???) and instead Bash, Francis's half brother would be the next King of France so she would marry Bash to save Francis and keep Scotland safe (How is this a logical solution exactly? She marries Bash because she loves Francis? And how is it that Mary doesn't lose much but the man she loves while Francis loses everything?) And Francis wasn't helping his case by trying to keep his ex-lover in court which annoyed Mary so much that she ended up kissing Bash and Francis sees them kissing and gets mad (Can Francis be anymore dumber? I mean he started it so how can he expect Mary to just accept that his ex-lover is staying in court with them???) Francis needed another hit on the head of being mad at Bash and Mary plus he allows Mary to be with other guys but not his brother while he gets to rendezvous with his lover, Olivia!!! I always knew that guys were so confusing but not to this extent!!!
Mary has the best of both worlds and yet she is never happy!!!

Why can't Mary just make up her mind instead of making them both suffer????
Happily Ever After doesn't seem to last long in french Court...
Because I'm Team Frary all the way!!!

Thankfully, this crazy love triangle (or was it a square?) worked out and now they are happily married...Now if only Mary can resolve this little problem with Lola who is pregnant with Francis' child after they happened to stumble into each other's arms...I really can't forgive Lola for getting in the way plus she annoyed me by being jealous when her guy, Colin was being overly friendly with Mary that somehow I'd wish that she had died instead of the innocent Aylee who died such a tragic death indeed...

2. Team Mary and Bash (Team Mash)
How about drinking like a man does, Mary???
Since I can't have Francis, you will have to do, Bash.

Okay, I can't help but side a little with the 'bastard' son who has always lived under Francis, the true heir of France's shadow and who happens to be in love with the same woman as his half-brother. Mary didn't help her case by continuing to rely on Bash rather than Francis to help her because apparently she can't trust her future husband but she can trust her future husband's half-brother. And when the first sign that Francis would die if he married her, she ran off with Bash who was running away for his life at the same time who decided to accompany her (Yeah, a brilliant idea as apparently he had forgotten that Mary is the Queen of Scotland and therefore she has a huge target on her back!!!) Bash goes along with Mary's plan to disinherit Francis although he had stated earlier that he didn't want the throne but apparently he's taking his brother's inheritance with a heavy heart (Who would actually believe that???) to save his brother's life. The plan ultimately fails because it wasn't even a brilliant plan in the first plan since Mary is planning to claim her right to the throne of England against Elizabeth (Soon to be Queen Elizabeth I) using the excuse that Elizabeth is a 'bastard' but she wants to legitimize Bash who is illegitimate!!!

I like that Bash brings out a wilder side to Mary and he seems to trust her judgement but honestly I just knew this love story wasn't going to last long. Alas, Bash is now stuck with Kenna, another lady in waiting to Mary who can't seem to behave herself but it seems that marriage is starting to bond Kenna and Bash together.
Not a very happy marriage picture indeed!!!

3. Team Leith and Greer
If only Leith was rich then this story would have a happy ending!!!
My heart fluttered as I watched this scene!!!
If only this love could last!!!

Okay, in my opinion, this was one of those couples that I can't help but smile as I watch them together. A lady in waiting to Mary who has to marry a rich nobleman for her family's sake ends up falling in love with a kitchen boy who later becomes a soldier (Leith is seriously going through some major upgrade!!!) Their little get-together was unintentional but nontheless it was quite a pleasant surprise and it's great to see Greer so relaxed and she's even willing to put on a kitchen maid's costume to go out with Leith. I loved the fact that Leith is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Greer safe that is he was even willing to take the blame when Lord Julian walked in on them as they were caught kissing. If only Greer can get it into her stubborn little mind that Leith is the perfect man for her even if he isn't rich but no, she just has to do what's right for her family and she shuts Leith out whenever she sees a rich nobleman who is single!!!

4. Kenna and Bash
That smile on Kenna's face is priceless!!!
Finally they both find love!!!

They got off on the wrong foot after they were forced to marry each other in order for Bash to remain at court and not as a threat against Francis plus Kenna was a little too greedy as she should have known how sneaky the King of France can be after lying to her about making her his official mistress then, offering her guys who can't put up with her and now he's forced her to marry his son after getting bored of bedding her but he want to continue sleeping with her even after she's married to his son!!! (Seriously, how is incest fine in that time???) I love the fact that Bash is quite protective of Kenna against the King, his father and slowly Bash melts away Kenna's cold heart by being a good husband to her. Kenna has really matured in the show now and I no longer hate her as I used to as she proves to be quite a good friend to Mary by going to King Henry's chambers to look for Mary and Francis' marriage contract which contained a secret clause in it despite knowing how dangerous it is now that King Henry is a little off his rocket.

5. Lord Julian and Lola

Such a shame that he was a sham!!!

So, this love story didn't last too long too thanks to a huge secret on Lord Julian's part which he failed to mention to Lola after she told him her little secret that she was pregnant with another man's child. I was a little suspicious since he was still willing to marry Lola despite that fact as a normal man would have freaked out when he found out about that!!!Then, we find out he is actually penniless but Lola insist on marrying him as she is from a rich noble family in Soctland so she can support him and the final cherry on the top, he isn't even LORD JULIAN!!! I loved several scenes with them together as he made her seem like the most beautiful woman in the world plus he was quite charming so it's a shame that he wasn't who he said he was.

THE END!!!

Last Day of Work and other random stuff!!!

Sunset at Broga Hill which meant starting my hike at 4 a.m.
So, I started my attachment at a law firm right after my last paper ( Like 3 days after the last paper to be exact but honestly who is counting???) and everyone thought I was nuts to start working so soon but I was determined and therefore I started working on the second week of June up until the end of this month which is today!!! I had learnt the hard way to appreciate my holidays as halfway through my attachment, I was already exhausted since I have not had a proper break for 2 years now...So, to those of you insane enough to try crazy things like this, it might be a good idea to take a break for approximately a week or two before working, take it from another insane being who just loves to learn things the hard way...
Broga Hill (the not so tough hill after all!!!)
I'm not saying that working is so difficult because honestly it sometimes is a little tough to learn new skills but that is what makes my attachment exciting. I'm the kind of girl who loves doing new things even if it's a little crazy at times like the time I climbed up Broga Hill or did abseiling down a wall being the youngest in the group to do so and etc...I've learnt a lot during my attachment at the firm and I've even made a new friend who is a Year 2 UK Transfer Degree  Programme from another university so I can't say that I regret working. The office has been my second home for 2 months now but now it's time for some R & R before my results come out and I am freaking out since I procrastinated again so chances are, I need a real miracle to get through my tough year...Let's recap my insane 4 subjects...

Law of Tort- The examiner must think I have a death wish for setting the paper so different from expected (Thank you UOL for always making my life interesting!!!) And I may have underestimate the subject thinking it was possible to finish quickly when my study manual itself is 600+++ pages excluding my textbooks, subject guide and own notes.

The verdict: I can say bye bye to the only subject I expected to get through easily.

Land Law- I spent 3/4 of the year trying to understand the whole syllabus not even knowing what I don't know so this is one paper I know for sure that I messed up unless somehow by a miracle, whatever rubbish that I wrote in my answer script makes sense...

The verdict: Land Law, please have mercy on me. I hope whatever in my answer script is sufficient to get through this tough year.

Law of Trust- The subject that seems to hate me no matter how much I try to make myself understand the syllabus. Just when I think I understand the topic, the answer may divert into another direction plus the exam paper was simply foreign to me so I did what I always do... Making things up as I go along...That seems to be what I am good at.

The Verdict: Do I even need to spell it out???I need a miracle to get through this complicated paper.

Family Law- Never try to study this subject last minute unless you're trying to kill yourself with an overload of cases and statutes. There was just too many cases and I found myself drowning in a pool of cases with similar names (Why can't it just be like simple names instead of alphabets???) I feel like I am learning my ABC again like in kindergarten...

The Verdict: I really have no idea how I did but I don't feel good...

Chances are I pretty much screwed up my exam papers but hopefully...I get through...

Anyways, on to a more brighter tone, I managed to challenge myself to go for rock climbing at Camp 5 this week and it was a thrilling experience...Firstly, I have never done it before plus the first time I caught a glimpse of the highest wall they have, I almost fainted at the thought of attempting it when I have no idea what I am suppose to do on the wall...I mean I know that I am suppose to climb it (obviously!!!) but how to climb the proper way???

Thankfully they had guides to teach first timers such as myself and my sister and the guide who assisted me in my climb was Mr. Gregory who was kind enough to bring me down several times after I reached the top without complaining of my weight...I have to say that the climb was exciting but warning to those who are afraid of heights, don't attempt to look down while climbing, just keep climbing and reach the top. Mr. Gregory was pretty encouraging with those who wanted to give up climbing all the way up to the top like a lady in my group who only wanted to climb midway to take a picture and she was afraid of heights but thanks to Gregory and the encouragement by my fellow teammates and I, she managed to reach the top.
Not for the weak hearted

One of the walls to climb

The experience itself was amazing as I had to rely solely on myself to climb to the top without anyone actually assisting me with the climb and I have to say it made me feel more confident as I finished my climb for the day. I was provided with the proper equipment and given proper instructions which was exactly what I'd hoped to get however the only small problem was that the small children in another group was left unsupervised at times when the guide was busy with other customers that I watched in horror as a little girl of about 8 years old jumped down from the wall after her climb without following the proper method of descent and ended up on an older girl's shoulders but thankfully no one was injured. Besides that, the place was well maintained and it's perfect for those who want a taste of adventure indoors...

TELEVISION OBSESSION PART 2!!!

This is a continuing post from the previous post so if you hadn't read it, it's really fine as there's no connection plus you might get annoyed by my randomness of spoiling television shows so start scrolling down pass this post if you're dead bored and just want to read something instead of staring at your Facebook home page which isn't likely to have much changes in the span of a few minutes...

So, in the previous post (a little recap for those who just tuned in) I talked about my past obsession and my new obsession and now, I shall continue rambling about random shows that I am currently tuning into so I hope that I won't get sued for trashing some of these shows because I can't think straight without my cup of coffee...
The Cast Of Downton Abbey Season 4

Why, Matthew, Why???

I'm still into Downton Abbey even though it already has 4 seasons and the main guy character that I liked died tragically at the end of Season 3 which meant only 1 season of happiness for Mary and Dan Stevens...I mean Matthew. Mary is pretty much mopping for Matthew upon his death and I was too that I pretty much had to stop myself from crying when I watched it...I can't believe that Mary and Matthew didn't have a longer happy ending but Mary seems to have her usual line of suitors in season 4 and as much as I try to like them, I can't bear the thought of Mary with another after 3 seasons of a rollercoaster ride with Matthew!!!! Mary also has a baby boy now and he's so cute that I just want to pinch those baby cheeks (almost as cute as Prince George!!!)
What is Mary to do???

The character that I'd always pitied is Edith who seems to be hopeless in love and full of bad luck and Season 4 doesn't seem to be kinder on her...She fell for an older guy who could be mistaken for her father, her editor turned lover has gone MIA in Germany as he's trying to find a way to divorce his insane wife and she's left alone and unexpectedly pregnant that she has to give her kid away...Can anything else go wrong for this girl??? Branson is pretty much a character that I'd grown fond of as he's like an older brother to Mary now giving her advise and helping her along her way to recovery after her lost of Matthew since he did lose his wife, Sybil too in Season 3...

Downton Abbey seems to have a few bumpy roads to overcome next Season with Edith's lover still missing, Anna's suspicion of Bates that he had killed her rapist (Yeah, all the good people here seems to lose out!) and Mary has to try to enjoy life while trying to keep her suitors at bay...Pretty much an average day in the Crawley estate...
Why did I have to suffer this fate???
Introducing...Mary, Queen of Scots.Long May She Reign...Not too true

Next, I would like to introduce a show that has me hooked after reading the synopsis that I find myself desperately looking for the episodes to watch...Reign, which is based loosely on Mary, Queen of Scots life in French Court where she has to evade the English, the Pagans in the woods who also sometimes enter into the Castle and a mother-in-law who hates her guts with no just causes..I think she should have remained with the nuns since at least there only the English were trying to poison her...She basically finds her life in danger as French Court is a place where people will smile in front of you but happily stab your back, oh and she's being helped by the little girl who covers her head with a sack and runs around in the hidden passages around the castle...Mary has to get Francis to like her when she returns to marry him after several years in the covenant which he does eventually after not much resistance and then she dumps him to save his life and finally chooses him to marry but not before trying to pass his throne to his half brother, Bash as well as trying to marry Bash to save Francis life due to a prophesy that Francis will die young if he marries Mary...I don't understand how marrying Mary would cause Francis to die but that was basically the plot for the first few episodes...

Mary, the confused Queen who doesn't seem to know what's on her mind

Francis, Dauphin of France and King to be

Bash, the brother who can't have everything but wants everything Francis has..

Meanwhile, Francis who is actually suppose to be  sick and feeble in reality is portrayed as a strong and active prince who likes going after young rich women at court and he's supposed to be really rational minded which I have to disagree at times because he kept distancing himself from Mary when the outcome was the same...Bash seems to be the loser in this love triangle as thanks to Mary, he loses the girl he loves, gets exiled for trying to reach for the crown of France when it was Mary's idea and is forced to marry Kenna, one of Mary's lady-in-waiting who was the King of France, his father's mistress...That just sounds so wrong but it seemed to be the norm in the past to share women...
Why can't we just get along???
I love happily ever afters!!!

I love Mary for being so headstrong because Francis needs a little banging on the head with the way he handles things with Mary but this baby thing with Lola is seriously killing my vibe...I used to like Lola until she betrayed her friend and Francis is such a dummy for sleeping with Mary's friend...What did he expect out of that??? I love Queen Catherine's fierce love for her son that she is willing to do anything for him even to kill...twice!!! She's exactly what the show needs with her witty tongue...And need I say more about the costumes in the show??? Simply breathtaking although not exactly like the old times because no one used to wear sleeveless dresses and the dresses used to be super big and stuffy...Most of Mary's dresses looks like prom dresses but I can hardly complain...

Look at all the pretty dresses around us!!!

Is she actually serious about pairing that shoes with that dress???

I would worry too if women in the past wore like this...

TELEVISION OBSESSIONS PART 1

After almost 1 years hiatus from blogging, I am back and I know that it's been soooooo long but it couldn't be helped...over the past year, I have been busy with my studies as well as my attachment at a law firm so that meant reaching home at almost 9 p.m. everyday or later sometimes which depended wholly on my timetable...

Anyways, enough about my boring life since a law student's social life naturally would be zero percent since we're suppose to be busy with our studies in the library as my lecturer puts it and my friends would agree since I haven't met them for over a year now thanks to my insane schedule.

How to begin then??? I have actually forgotten how to blog and my mind is so full of thoughts that I have no idea what to go on blabbing about but here goes....excuse my random rambling but I need some time to fall back into my old flow of writing....

So, I know I used to ramble on and on and on about my crazy obsession with the supernatural world such as vampires, werewolves, ghost, witches and etc but these days, I am still into the whole supernatural idea but just that my interest has died down a little... I haven't caught up with the entire Season 5 of Vampire Diaries!!! Can you imagine??? So many episodes to catch on my last few weeks of my break but basically I lost interest in the show since Elena is pretty much annoying me to the point that I just want to go to her and hit her on the head with a club as she's pretty much the most indecisive girl in the entire planet!!! She's worse than me when I am deciding what to have for lunch or dinner!!!! So, imagine this girl who is stuck between two handsome brothers, in love with both of them and she's technically leading them on and yet no one calls her a player or flirt!!! I personally used to be Team Stelena since I have always been biased towards Stefan but now I find myself so bored at watching that love triangle try its best to untangle that I switch shows halfway!!! And I heard even worst news, CW has renewed the show for another season and seriously, how much more tangled can this love triangle be???
Here we go again...
And shouldn't there be something illegal about sleeping around with two brothers??? I personally feel that the producers shouldn't have created another show for the Originals because I loved the Original Vampires in the Vampire Diaries as Klaus is just so great to watch being the villain and occasional hero...Plus I loved his soft spot for Caroline that everyone keeps using against him and let's hope the producers finds something else more interesting to introduce in the next season besides the usual Stefan-Elena, Damon-Elena triangle..
Klaus: I'm sorry but I have to leave for my own show.
Miss us much???

SPOILER ALERT!!!

My sister's got me hooked on a new series, Sleepy Hallows and I have to say that that show is absolutely brilliant... The idea of putting together an apocalypse, the bible, the headless horseman and other mythical creatures is just what I need these days...There's no love triangles between the main characters so that's a major change in the plot...Hopefully the writers don't decide to play along that lines anytime soon because I love that the main guy, Icahbod Crane is still hopelessly in love with his wife who has been dead for 250 years and she's stuck in purgatory because the headless horseman was her former lover who couldn't get over the fact that she was in love with his best friend...I would not want to be caught in that crazy twist...Meanwhile the lead female character, Abbie Mills is a cop who basically lost her partner who lost his head and she has this sister deemed to be insane who isn't actually insane because it seems to be perfectly normal to see supernatural beings in that town...Anyhow, the ending of Season 1 was simply brilliant and I found myself wanting more but that means I would have to wait for a few months now since I finished Season 1 in less than 3 days...
For a 250 years old dead woman, she sure looks good!!!
Even the headless horseman knows how to use a gun!!!
Stay tuned for more of my latest obsessions on television shows!!!

END OF PART 1!!!
